Ted North Ted North
Chairman & Director

After four years in the RAF Ted had a short career in Scrambling until his family came along. His sons took up Moto-Cross and one, Kevin trials. Visiting Nash to support him one day he heard and then saw a BSA going round which got him hooked. He bought himself a Triumph Cub and hasn't looked back since. Ted joined Berko in 1982 and was invited to the committee after a few years and became Chairman in 1990 a position he still holds.

Dave Porter Dave Porter
Director / Social Secretary
Dave Porter has had a go at most forms of bike sport, he started grass track sidecar driving back in the mists of time and then decided he was a better passenger! This led him to have a go at classic sidecar road-racing, then modern outfits, and then back to classic and modern. He also went back to grass track sidecars and in the not too distant past he also had a go at SOLO trials. He has held several posts in this club and others as well as serving on ACU committees, but what he really wants to do is get his road bikes going and take them on a track day, watch this space--------

Martin rides the expert route as Intermediate. E-mail Martin>>

Terry Golds Terry Golds
Secretary & Editor of the Club Newsletter
Terry bought his first bike in the winter of ’63, an Ambassador, 250 Villiers Twin. And loved it. He fell off for the first time about 3 hours after he picked it up. So he picked it up twice that night. He has had a selection of bikes since then and fallen off most of them! During those first years it was Scrambles on Sunday, West Ham speedway on Tuesday, Hackney Wick Friday and clean the bike Saturday. There has always been a bike in his garage. In 1994 he first took his kids to Motocross at Brill and away they went, Motocross marshalling every Sunday in the Eastern Centre for some years until he became SM Centre Secretary, by that time he was also secretary of Berko club as well. More recently he have dropped the Centre work and tried to concentrate on Berko, even riding a trials bike, but still falling off.
