NEWS "At a trial held recently at Dews Farm it was noted that some riders had been riding in the lane leading to the trials ground to clean their tyres. Riders must be aware that the lane is a public road and the future of the venue could be threatened if this happens ! If any rider is found riding in the lane in the future they will face disciplinary action by the South Midland Centre." The next important date to jot down for all you home mechanics is the 25th of January when we will have the pleasure of Julian Wigg sharing his knowledge and expertise on the repair and maintenance of wheels,bearings and tyres.This will include setting the correct tyre pressures for different types of surface,weather conditions and of course the types of terrain,e.g.hilly,flat,cross camber and taking in to account the riders specification and skill level. Through the last few years the club has been very fortunate in enjoying help and support from the Putoline Oil company and they have kindly offered to help again in several ways this year. The first opportunity we have to meet Putoline is when they will present an evening of lubrications hints and tips which will be held at the club house on the 15th of February,so you’re all clear for valentines night!!We are in talks with John Lee to be present with his van full of goodies so you will be able to stock up for the coming year,with Putoline oils of course. Around this time of year we like to show our appreciation for club and committee members that have contributed to the running of the clubs events,and all the other items that make Berko the club we all love to belong to.The annual awards are also presented to the different class winners throughout the year,add to this a buffet and raffle and we have a very agreeable evening for you all to enjoy.The date to put down for this is the 10th of March,again at North Hall.
